OUR PHILOSOPHYAt Amrita, we work with a multi-disciplinary team that is comprised of therapists and dietitians that have extensive experience treating eating disorders and use evidence based treatment. We understand that eating disorders are caused by a variety of psychological, biological, interpersonal, and social factors, and that each individual is unique in their own history and etiology of their eating disorder symptoms.
We are committed to creating a compassionate environment where individuals can safely explore their behaviors, thoughts and feelings with a kind awareness that enables them to identify their needs, stabilize disordered eating behaviors, develop new healthy behaviors, restore the mind/heart/body connection, and create emotional resiliency for long term recovery. We know it takes a strong community to help create lasting change, and we value working closely with outside providers as well as family and friends. Building a community is essential to successful discharge planning and continued support for long term recovery. |
